The Briksdal glacier is an arm of the 486 square kilometer Jostedal glacier, Europe's largest. The glacier is situated at the end of one of Norway's most beautiful valleys, surrounded by tall mountains and impressive waterfalls. At the foot of the glacier lies a small turquoise lake, which feeds the river rushing alongside the path to the glacier.

The Troll Cars replaced the horses in 2004. I visited Briksdal Glacier as part of an excursion with P&O Cruises as this excursion is available on many of their Norwegian cruises.
